Une maison de maître en vente ayant conservé les traces de ses anciens occupants est investie par deux artistes se côtoyant depuis près de 20 ans. Leurs oeuvres cohabitent et se répondent alors que plastiquement tout les opposent.Les liens se sont créés au fil des années par le dialogue et l’observation de l’un à l’autre. C’est dans l’attitude et le processus de travail mais non dans sa forme, que leurs oeuvres se complètent et se font écho. L’exposition est courte mais précédée d’une longue préparation in-situ.Cet habitat déserté devient, le temps de l’exposition et durant les deux mois qui précèdent, un lieu de juxtaposition et non de confrontation.

Een prachtig herenhuis, met de bewaarde sporen van zijn vorige eigenaars, staat te koop. Twee beeldende kunstenaars bezetten het pand vanuit hun 20 jaar lange verwevenheid.Hun kunstwerken vertoeven samen in de ruimte en beantwoorden elkaar vanuit hun tegenstellingen.Hun verbanden zijn doorheen de jaren verworden doorheen de dialoog en de observatie van elkaar. De gewoonten en het werkproces hebben een gemeenzame deler in tegenstelling tot hun vormelijkheid. Het is doorheen de esthetische echo van elkaar dat hun werken zich vervolledigen.De tentoonstelling is beperkt in de tijd maar voorafgegaan door een lange voorbereidingsproces op locatie. De woestenij van deze habitat wordt een oord van juxtapositie ten aanzien van elkaars oeuvre, zonder confrontatie of congruentie.

Two artist who have been closely connected for over twenty years have taken over a turn of the century town house that still bears the traces of previous occupiers. Their works are extremely different but in the creative phase similarities abound such as the importance given to details, time, experimentation.Over the years, connections were established through discussions and observations. Today their works open a dialogue in which these connections become clear.The exhibition is short but is preceded by a lengthy in-situ preparation. This deserted home becomes, during the exhibition and the two preceding months, a place of proximity as opposed to confrontation.
